Star System Intensity Levels

The one star class is designed for those who have back or mobility issues, anyone who is pregnant (after the 1st trimester) and newcomers.  This class moves at a slower pace and does not include exercises or exercise levels that would be detrimental to any issues present in the class.  Exercises in this class may be performed on a stool if necessary. 

The 2 star class is designed for anyone (including newcomers) who does not have any injury issues or conditions (including pregnancy).  This class moves at a slightly faster pace than the one star and exercises may still be performed on a stool if necessary.

The 3 star class is designed for those who have no injury issues at all, whose range of movement has improved and who have a good understanding and knowledge of the Pilates’ exercise technique.

The 4 star class is designed for those who have no injury issues at all and have a sufficient level of mobility, flexibility and strength to perform more dynamic movements from the Pilates’ repertoire.

The 5 star class is designed for those who have no injury issues at all and have a sufficient level of mobility, flexibility and strength to perform the original Pilates’ movements.
